The shafts rotate in the Girder & steering tree (I don't know what to call the part that rotates at the frame head it's not a triple tree I'd guess). The girder has bushings, the other rotate in the cast iron (note the grease zerks). Doug|

I am having trouble understanding how the snubber bracket setup works on a 1949 hummer. Why are the lower snubber bracket sides threaded? If they are threaded how does the suspension move?
