WOW; I wish I would have had you guys look at my bike before I got it; I believe it is pretty much all original, but wouldn't have a clue if it wasn't.|
I know it's "Buyer Beware!", but I feel for the buyer who might get this bike believing the seller's hype; I recommended to the seller to amend his description; we'll see if he does.

Look at this specimen. It's the best, not the rest !!!
Check out the description here.
1955 HARLEY DAVIDSON 125 HUMMER --- THE REAL THING
RECENT TOTAL RESTORATION MUSEUM QUALITY. ONE OF THE RAREST LIGHTWEIGHTS. EVERYTHING IS CORRECT THE PICTURES TELL THE STORY. ONE OF APPROXIMATELY 20 LIGHTWEIGHTS STILL REMAINING BUILT UNDER DEAN HUMMER'S SUPERVISION (1955-1959)
RECOGNIZED BY THE HUMMER CLUB AND HARLEY DAVIDSON OF MILWAUKEE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE WHAT YOU'RE BIDDING ON THROUGH THE HUMMER CLUB OR OTHER HUMMER WEBSITES DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.
THERE'S THE BEST AND THEN THERE'S ALL THE REST.
NO SURPRISES NO DISAPPOINTMENTS
I'm disappointed fron the first picture, this bike wouldn't even score 85 points at a AMCA meet. Here's somethings that are wrong with the bike
broken brake pedal
decal missing from air cleaner
Plastic sparkplug wire conduit wan't available in the 50's
pipe's about to fall off
cad plated axle adjuster nuts
MANY hardware store nuts/bolts/washers
All gastank bolts installed on the wrong side of bike
FireStone Sportsman on the rear, GoodYear Eagle on the front
very bad over use of cadmium plated parts
stater pedal 'll bang sidecover everytime it's kicked
Wrong model tank decals
Blood red paint isn't a Factory color
plastic zip ties weren't available in the 50's
hacked off -52 foot peg rubbers
Speedometer can should be black and have a date code and inspectors stamp on it and the needle should be painted
rusty fork boot clamps weren't standard issue
fork stem nut painted black
56 and later clutch lever perch
60 and later vinyl cover clutch cable
I think the fella should be saying "Freshly preserved" instead of freshly restored.
