I made the same mistake many years ago. Sunday is always just judging. At some meets, they've eliminated Sunday and hold the judging late Saturday afternoon.
Friday is the big day for buying and selling. If you're looking for that rare part, you should be there first thing Friday morning. Actually, most of the meets allow vendors to enter and set up on Thursday night.
Saturday seems to bring a lot of the locals out - mostly for entertainment, since they have modern bikes. Sales drop off rapidly as the afternoon wears on.
People used to stay and party on Saturday night, then leave on Sunday morning, but I guess we're getting old, and most people now leave on Saturday night.

Finally home from my trip down south. Had a great time. I did go to Eustis on Sunday the 6th. I was there at 10:45 a.m. I could not believe what I saw.....EVERYONE was packed up ready to go home. Could not spend my $$. People were there for the bike showing and judging but no parts vendors. No Hummer Club was to be found, someone owes me a beer!!!
