Dr. Pepper,

Take a look at Ace Elliot's twin-cylinder bike over in the Club section of the website. The frame's front downtube is almost vertical. On a stock bike, the downtube runs almost 45 degrees towards the rear.

I'm pretty sure Ace said his wheelbase is the same as stock. So he must have cut it down at the bottom, bent it forwards, and then put in an extension at the bottom.

Can you do the same trick with the J engine?

Dave

Dave, here is another picture, not a very good scan but you can still see it---Arthur Chapple's Winning Board Track Racer,,,1912. Even though this is a Indian, the HD motor looked and bolted about the same. This picture will help me figure the "CHOPPIN" part out, starting just under seat, down under the engine and back to fork neck is one piece of pipe---The hard tail on the back of the Indian almost looks Hummer-----Hummmmm, things are starting to look up

Pepper,

What is that thang? Looks kinda like a JD motor, but that pfutzerator at the back confuses me (easy to do) - shouldn't it be on the front? Is this an "F" model? Just what is this old boy?

Anyone ever chopped the rear end off a frame and extended it?
