I was hoping that this wasn't the way to reach the transmission drain plug for an oil change. Doug

Doug you are exactly right. petcock had failed and whole tank of gas went into crank. couldnt get it dry so we hung bike upside down to finish draining. was actually john and my idea but Mutt was accomodating and we gave it a try.
I owe ya Doug. Gene

Or maybe this is the way to get a flooded crank poured out. Note the exhaust pipe is off.

I've done the roll the hummer thing to flood the crank with oil. Owner wouldn't let me take the motor out of the frame, or take the head off on a bike 30 years since oiled/run.

Maybe that was the reason.

The real reason this picture was originally put up was to see if anyone could hazard a guess as to what we were actually doing and why? first person to get it right, I will pay for and send them a harley hummer club patch.
(first person that wasnt present at this event that is).
