Yep, they're all fun. I figured young Matt would have caught all the stuff tho.

Mutt,
Yep, all of the above, and I know all about every one, I built that bike literally from piles of junk I had left over from the other projects. you can't see the other side but I built that '49 on a '51 frame, jiffy stand and bracket are totally wrong. But it does have a good crank in it, you built it! That was the engine that must have sat half full of water for 30 years, you saw the rusty high water mark on the crank covers.
And guess who one of the judges was? our old friend Travis Scott along with Matt Olsen.
Its a one-kick bike and its all fun!
Mike

Who judged the bike? That bike was mis-scored. A regulator, and ammeter bracket that didn't come out until 1957 would definately be 2 points off. Wrong spark plug wire should deduct 1 full point. The front brake adjuster bracket is bent (unrestored part), the valve stems are unfinished and should be blackened brass, the clutch adjuster nut appears to be the 50 and later type, but it's hard to see in the picture.Pretty sure the rear chain has a master link too.

Duane,
Here's a '49S with a LOT of parts that came from Salem oregon, made "Senior" at Fremont last weekend, 98 3/4 points! Thanks!
Mike
