Yep, I am using a -51 oil-cupless cap to make sure the new spring will screw right in. I did notice that on one of my NOS springs, the cap is hard to screw onto the spring, but unscrews easily. Another NOS one screws on easily and off easily. I found a few more NOS springs with caps and they are the same way. Some are sorta tight, some are not, but all are NOS in the wrappers ???? |

46054-53 FORK SPRINGS, HEAVY, WITH CAP
DUH !! I FORGOT, MISSED, DIDN'T SEE, BAD HAIR DAY
SOME 10 YRS AGO WHEN I HAD THE HEAVY SPRINGS MADE
BUT DID NOT THINK ABOUT THE HEAVY CAPS.
ONE WON'T WORK WITHOUT THE OTHER SO, I FOUND A FEW
HEAVY CAPS (8)BUT STILL SHORT ABOUT 40 TO GO WITH THE HEAVY SPRINGS ON THE SHELF, GATHERING DUST.
MR. MUTT IS A GOOD OBSERVER SO I SUSPECT HE HAS THE CAPS OR HAD THE SPRINGS MADE TO FIT STANDARD CAPS.
MAYBE I WILL MAKE CAPS FOR HEAVY SPRINGS I HAVE A LOT OF.
MAYBE I WILL USE HEAVY SRINGS, CUT TO LENGTH FOR PENILE STIFFENERS. MAYBE NOT.
MAYBE I WILL JUST WAIT TIL SPRING AND GO HUNTING.
