Thanks Dave, now it makes sense and I can see that that
part has broken off (the half moon shape thing is the
remaining of the cup)

It does say indeed Harley-Davidson 125, but this missing
thing makes it kind of useless (and its not a cheap thing
as well....)

You're missing the "cup" part of the taillight. Check
out the photos for this K-model taillight. It has a
different fender bracket, but you can clearly see the
part you're missing.

BTW, yours should say "Harley-Davidson 125" above the
right license plate bolt slot.

I cleaned what I had from this 1951 machine I'm doing,
but seems to me that there is something missing to put
this thing together(in other words I have no clue how the
spring is supposed to be attached and holding the glass
parts)

tried to find out how it is supposed to look, but cant
find any info/picture on it
