ROOKIE:

WELCOME.
20 YRS AGO IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REBUILD A
48-50 MODEL. IN "SLIGHT" DISAGREEMENT WITH BRENT, I
WOULD SAY THAT MOST OF THE PARTS ARE REPRODUCED AND AVAILABLE NOW. HEADLIGHT INTERNALS ARE ABOUT THE ONLY
REAL DIFFICULT TO FIND PARTS AND THERE ARE SUBSTITUTIONS
THAT WILL WORK. E-MAIL IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR POST IT ON THE EXCHANGE AND SOMEONE WILL RESPOND.

Welcome. The '49 is an early year and a lot of the correct parts are hard to find.... but you've come to the right place.
There are many members here that have started down the same road you find yourself on and are willing to help. I started with a '48. Enjoy the journey.

Just wanted to introduce myself as I just purchased a 49 hummer barn find. I have had and built a custom 03 sporty and now I am looking for anyone's best practices for restoration.

Thank you
