1948 huh? I would have thought it would have been later, as Indian was busy developing their Torque-series. But maybe they wanted to compete with Harley head-on in the small market while getting the verticals ready.


When I went to the Harley dealer in 1979 to inquire about my newly-purchased Hummer, they told me "Harley never made anything like that".

What ever it is, it was sold by Indian in 1948 and could be ordered through the Indian dealer~ weird, none of my Indian friends have seen one
