The 48-51 model rear hub, had 18 holes on the brake drum flange and no weather ring sandwiched between the sprocket and the flange and had a 43 tooth sprocket The 1952 is a one year only hub, just like the 48-51 but had a weather ring sandwiched between the sprocket and the drum before riveting. The 53 and later, all model hubs had 18 holes with slots, one on each hole, on the brake side flange ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- thanks, but how can you tell the hub is the correct one as well, just curious ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- yep, that is the correct hub and brake plate for a 1951 ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- I guess this is the correct brake plate for the '51 model ? this one has the curved sides, as I do have another one which is flat, bvut assume thats for the 52 and up one ? thanks Joep |
