JEFF: THE ONE ON THE RIGHT IS CORRECT FOR THE EARLY MODEL B MODEL WHICH DID NOT HAVE A FRONT BRAKE. SINCE THE BRAKELESS FRONT HUB WAS NARROWER, THEY COMPENSATED WITH THE WIDER GREASE RETAINER SPINDLE TO FILL THE SPACE. THE PN IS 43728-55 FOR THE WIDER GREASE RETAINER. FOR THOSE RIDERS THAT LIKED TO FREQUENT EMERGENCY ROOMS, THE BRAKELESS FRONT HUB WAS A WINNER. DUANE TAYLOR ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Is the grease retainer on the right in the photo the correct one for a Model B without the optional speedometer drive? It is about 3/8" longer than the one of the left, P/N 43727-47? If so, what is the part number? |
