I think you're being a bit too sensitive here and I beg
to differ. As part of the original members, and now
webmaster, a purist myself, I welcome innovative
adaptations of the product line. I LOVE Dr. Pepper's Wall
of Death bike and get a chuckle out of the strange uses
of 'Hummers' I've seen at the AMCA meets. The Fire House
Special from Mountain Lake, NJ is a wonderful example
also. PLEASE don't let those who take the time to
discourage you reflect the full opinion of the Club. Most
of us just sit back and smile; and have no need to post
an opinion one way or the other as long as the member is
enjoying their bike. HOWEVER.... it really would be cool
if you started your own site reflecting radical Hummers.
Enough are restored now that the models are well
represented and have gotten H-D's and the AMCA's
attention (Thank you Dave Hennessey). Have fun.... do
with them what you will. Warmest Regards, Brent Dugan,
webmaster.

Thanks John, I appreciate the kind words and your
enthusiasm for my project. I
was pretty stoked to share it with the Harley Hummer
community though it seems
it has not been received so well. Perhaps trying
something new is not what the
community was looking for. I've had a lot of help a long
the way from a few guys
I've met with these bikes but as far as community goes,
it's difficult to even get a
reply sometimes, members seem to covet parts so much that
they believe they are
worth their weight in gold and I've had my critics. I'm
proud to say I built this bike
and I've helped out a few guys along the way as well, any
extra parts I've come
across I simply just gave to guys as long as they paid
the shipping, I liked just
helping a guy out and being a part of their builds.
Perhaps it's time for a new
generation to start a new community for these two wheels
and see what else is
possible.

WOW ! WHAT CAN I SAY, BEAUTIFULLY PERFORMED EXECUTION OF
MANY CUSTOM PARTS THAT WORK TOGETHER IN SUCH A WAY THAT
IS
PERFECTLY STUNNING AND TASTEFUL WHILE REMAINING
COMPLETELY
FUNCTIONAL (at least from what i could tell). THE OVERALL
PROJECT IMHO IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THE SUM OF IT'S PARTS
AND THAT AS YOU ALREADY KNOW ONLY COMES FROM COUNTLESS
HOURS OF THOUGHT AND MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.
CONGRATULATIONS ON A PROJECT YOU'LL BE PROUD OF FOREVER.
WELL DONE SIR !
John

GREAT WORK AND IMAGINATION !
