I sure hated to hear this about Mike. I knew he was having problems. He was a great guy and fun to be around. I sold him a Hummer Racer. His first year racing it at Davenport, He finished 2nd behind Byrl Fleming. I told him if he wanted to win, he would have to hug that gas tank on the straights, and hold it wide open all the way around the track. That was 2002. The next year {2003} he won. Also 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 he finished 2nd behind Linda Blum. That was some good racing back then. One year we had 14 Hummer Racers there. He will be missed. No body enjoyed it more than Mike. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Sad news for sure. Mike was a happy go lucky dude.
