HHC: 2013 Sunshine AMCA Meet: Hummer Tent

Dr. Pepper Presents!

Here is what happened at the Meet.

"Tent was all set up on Wed. and by Thur. 7am. was in full swing with visitors.
Club members Don Biter, Anna and Les got an early start in treasure hunting. The weather was great.
Fri. was the big day and very busy in Hummer world. Many more people came and the interest in these machines has grown since last year. Had some local ride-In's, Susie and Jimbo on their 165's.
Don Biter was a big help and I was glad to see the photographer from the AMCA mag. taking his picture for the next issue. Terry Warnkins came with his restored 62 scat which his father bought for him in '62.
The photos will tell his story.
My friend Russ Peterson that makes electric starters for the big-twins 1937-1979 came from Nebraska to his first AMCA Meet with us at the site.
Old bikers that can't kick their machines any more came out of the woodwork to see these new starters and it was a big hit. Bruce Palmer stopped by and had a long talk with Russ about handicap controls and his starters. Weather got even better!"
