Dave, At the facility where I worked a few years ago they had an automotive body vocational program. Those guys did all the body work and painting. Another facility had an upholstery program, so I sent the seat to them. The seat cost $35 and the paint was $25 + the cost of the paint. They do a fabulous job. Hard to get on the wait list though. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Sean, I'll bet there's a good story behind the seat work. Tell, tell. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Here's a pic of my 1960 Super-10. Motor, wheels, and priceless advice by Mutt. Body work, paint, seat work by inmates in the Kentucky State Penitentiary. They loved pictures of the finished product. Not a 100-point bike, but I'm proud of it just the same. I have a few parts left over that I'll be posting on here soon. Great website with valuable advice and resources. Keep up the good work! |
