There is a thought, it can be removed, not sure if I can just turn it around (dont have it at hand now) otherwise machining will be the way to go ! thanks Joep ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Joep, It looks to me like the sector could be re-built by building up the worn teeth with weld and re-machining them, using the pristine teeth on the other end of the sector to index the machining of the built up areas. Obviously you would need a milling machine or possibly a lathe, to do this. It is not unheard of for gear teeth like this to be hand filed! :) Another thought comes to mind... How is the sector attached to the shaft? If it could be removed, it might be possible to reverse it so the good section is where the contact is made. Mario ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- I got two of these and they both look the same I was told good ones are hard to find, but maybe someone knows where to get a descent one. Or do you guys repair these ? thanks Joep |
