The browser manufacturers (Google Chrome, Firefox) have decided to force website to "upgrade" to the more secure HTTPS protocol, which uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).

Several users reported that they were unable to connect to the website today (Thursday). So like it or not, we upgraded to HTTPS.

You don't have to make any changes. You can still type into your browser, but you may notice that the URL box (seen below) will automatically switch to HTTPS from the former HTTP.

This "forced upgrade" has broken the Hummer Exchange. Instead of trying to kludge together this 15-year old software, it's time to upgrade (truly) to a modern Forum software package.

Hopefully, we can get it working enough to get a few more explanatory messages through.
