Two 1951 Model S's

Carl Nitz writes "...Here is my bike. I originally purchased it used in 1959 or '60 and rode it all
through High School. I sold it to my brother and bought a Servi-car. I think that was a '47.
When my brother went back East to school in '68 he gave it back to me.
It has been sitting around both inside and out for the last 36 years. I have gotten parts to
restore her from Duane Taylor, Richard Duda, and others. It is not intended to be a "Show Bike"
- just a good daily rider.
UPDATE* Carl added 5/25/05 "THIS BIKE GOT AN HONORABLE MENTION at the Oregon Vintage Motorcycle show in
Corvallis Oregon. Competition is a Peoples Choice balloting in several different catagories.
Two Honorable Mentions and a First Place are awarded in each catagory.
I got one of the two Honorable Mentions in the American catagory.
The other was taken by a beautifully restored 1919 Indian and First Place
went to another beautifully restored 1911 or 1912 belt drive Indian.
Felt really good to be considered in that kind of company".
