motor case finish

Postby stans48s » Sat Jan 12, 2019 1:02 pm

Glad I found this sight, a lot of good info here. It appears my 125 has been under cover most of it's life. The cases are not all corroded. I would like to get them back to original looking condition. What should I do to get that new look on the cases, head and barrel? Thanks Stan.

if ya don't have access to a bead blast cabinet, you can take the head and the 2 case halves to your local NAPA and have them vatted, same as you would do for a automotive transmission case

I have a cabinet, and thought about bead blasting the cases, it does give a good finish. That's probably what I will do. What finish should I do on the cylinder? Stan
