looking for information on jiffy stand

Postby Dave Beck » Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:01 pm

Hello everyone,
I just got a 1959 165 STU and am in the process of restoring the bike. It was pretty complete but was totally missing the jiffy or aka kick stand. It even had a Harley battery in it. There is absolutely nothing to start with. DId they clamp on weld on or bolt on somewhere. Picture would help. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

It mounted on the left footrest shaft. Post a picture of that area of your bike

It was missing the original left foot rest, guess that is why there is no jiffy stand. They used a piece of 1/2" pipe in it's place to slip the foot peg rubber on.

I have the missing shaft. It goes thru and is held on with 2 special T bolts. It holds both foot pegs and the kickstand
