Hello.
Anyone heard of wire joints etc being “ cold soldered”, and therefore when wires or whatever warm up, then the connection disconnects, and won’t let you start, but when cooled down, reconnects aNd fires right up?
Can anyone enlighten me on this?
Thanks in advance. Gene

Cold solder usually refers to a soldered connection that didn't bond with solder. Your problem of breaking down when hot is common with electronic ignition modules (you don't have) and can happen with ignition coils (rare) maybe ignition condensers. Insolation properties breakdown under heat. Check the simple things first, like a new spark plug, clean points and a new condenser.
