Gas Cap

Postby Brianpaul21 » Fri Jul 02, 2021 9:47 pm

Hello Group,

I'm new here. I was super happy to find this group after falling in love with a 1950 125 that I recently bought. I'm looking forward to interacting with you all. One of my first projects is replacing the gas (petrol) cap. The current one leaks badly. I've found this one at Harley Hummer .com and wondered if any of you had any experience with this one or if perhaps a leaky cap is just something normal to expect with a bike of this age. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here's a link to the cap I'm looking at. It also seems to have a cup for mixing oil which is pretty neat.

Thanks,

Brian

Have you tried just putting a new rubber seal on your existing gas cap?
