Hi
I am working on my hummer engine that would not stay running when hot. We thought there were some issues with the seals, and looking at your post, I am wondering if we should get the metric size you suggest.
I attached some pictures, the seal has the imprint Victor 49672. Any suggestions?

The common seal for that shaft is already metric. It's the left side that most everyone sells a 11/16" seal for , which isnt tight enough on the 17mm shaft

When my '55 165ST came back from its rebuild, it had pieces of solid copper wire jammed into the grease nipple holes. I always wondered why that was. :)
