Clutch cable

Postby Emerica1975 » Sun Mar 13, 2022 1:11 am

I have a 165st with standard bars. My clutch cable that i just received seems like either the outer housing is too short (39.5 inches) or the inner core (44.5 inches) is to long. I can’t adjust out the slack. Can someone tell me if those cable dimensions are correct or are they wrong for my bike.
Thanks

The inner cable is 1 1/8" too long. Stick out between the housing and either fitting (with the inner pulled all the way in one direction) should be 3 7/8" max, 3 3/4 is better

Thanks much for the quick response. I’m going to see about sending my cable back to the maker and getting a replacement.
