Original tires, Goodyear Super Eagle

I found a pair of original tires, are they worth something for a restoration or should I pitch them in the trash?

IMO-they may be worth something to a restorer whose motorcycle WILL NOT be ridden. Rubber gets hard with age and becomes unsafe to ride on. Additionally, they are difficult to mount or remove from a rim. The tires on my motorcycle were old, dry and VERY stiff. I needed to cut the front tire off it was so stiff.
A collector my want them for display or wall art.
Keep them and send out feelers. Any income could fund getting your Dad’s motorcycle running.
For grins, there should be a Born Date located on only one side of the tire. It should be recessed because it is stamped into the tire. Tires made in the year 200 have 4 digits. Tires made before 2000 have 3 digits. The first 2 digits of a 3 digit code is the week of the year. The 3rd digit is the year. An example is 325 would be the 32nd week of a year ending in 5: 1995, 1985,1975.

I found a "24" stamped into one of the tires, other tire has none.
Probably circa 1954-1955.
