Where Oh Where Has My '48 Gone?

Postby BertMcClary » Thu Jan 19, 2023 11:16 am

I know this is just wishful thinking, and there's only a chance in thousands, but I won't know unless I ask. I was inspired by the connection between rightshifter and John in identifiying a previously-owned bike. Do any of you '48 owners have a Model 125 with a history of Missouri ownership?

I don't have any identifying data, only a picture. It's posted on the Member's Pages with my story. When I sold it in 1961 it was in good condition, and had a passenger pillion seat, crash bar and chrome front fender curved rod ornamentation (sorry, don't know what those are called), which might make it more identifiable.

I'd love to have it back, but in lieu of that, I just hope it has a good home.

Thanks for the reading material. I started to read and was interrupted. Hours later I came back to finish.
I suggest all members/visitors take the time to read your story.
First Motorcycle stories are always the best at leaving impressions.

Good Luck and Thanks for sharing

Thanks, 250 Sprint. I enjoy writing as a hobby also, and my 3-wheeler is now an electric (pedal) trike. Among my assortment of mostly standard motorcycles, I also had a couple of 350 Sprints. And some Sportsters. All special, in their own way.
